Dog dials 911, saving owner!

Another great story of a bright well trained dog saving a human life. A little beagle named Belle was specially trained to sniff around for abnormal blood-sugar levels in her owner Kevin Weaver. Weaver collapsed as a result of a seizure and was also unconscious. Thats's when wonder dog Belle chomped down on the number 9 on the keypad which had been programmed too dial 911. She had been trained to do this of course and the doctor told Weaver he probably would've died without help from loyal and smart girl Belle. Belle is already receiving accolades!

Some Dog Owners Need to be More Responsible

Too many dog owners are careless when it comes to letting their dogs run loose. Many a mail carrier and meter reader have been attacked and bitten. Dog owners who let their aggressive dogs run loose and who go on to bite or attack people are at risk for serious lawsuits including those by mail carriers. Known aggressive dogs should always be constrained by chain, door or fence.

Vivi Missing Whippet Sitings

As of early June people in Queens claim they are seeing Vivi the Wayward Whippet running around different parks in that area. They have a team looking for her and handing out flyers and puttng up posters on her behalf. If this really is Vivi that dog is a survivor and clever also, makes one wonder how they are ever going to catch her.

Vivi, the saga continues:

Homeowners and Renters Dropped by Insurance Companies

Homeowners and renters who own certain breeds of dogs are being dropped by Insurance companies like Allstate and Farmers. They are refusing to write homeowners' policies for the following breeds:
Chows, Dobermans, American Pit Bulls, Alaskan Malamutes, Huskys, Akitas, and German Shepards. Other breeds are also included on the "vicious breed" list.

Homeowners and renters are fighting back-nine states have bills pending that would prevent insurance companies from banning dog owners their right to be covered just because they own a certain breed of dog!

Dog owners are righteously complaining that their beloved family pet may be on the "vicious breed" list but their dog is a sweet natured member of the family who wouldn't hurt anyone.

This clearly is discrimination based on fear and ignorance. Shame on the insurance companies practicing this rediculous policy of judge and convict first, explain later.
