Elwood, a Chinese Crested/Chihuahua mix is the "World's Ugliest Dog"-Good for Elwood!Elwood escaped being put down because his breeder thought he was too ugly to ever be able to sell him. His current owner rescued him and entered Elwood in the contest for the second year in a row. Last year Elwood came in a decent second.
Most of the Ugly Dogs are the Chinese Crested variety because of their unearthly looks and floppy tongues.
We'll see how long Elwood can remain King of Ugly dogs!
